On the south east of Paris, just under a
four-hour train ride, lies the town of Tain
Hermitage. Situated along the banks of
the Rhone River, the town numbers only
about 6,000 in population, but for world
chocolate lovers, it’s a town big on taste
and flavour
For those in the know, Tain I’Hermitage
is the home to one of the world’s best
chocolate makers – Valrhona. However
since last October, Valrhona has decided
to delight its chocolate fans even further
by opening the Cité du Chocolat (City
of Chocolate) that allows visitors to fully
ensconce themselves in the world of this
liquid gold.
Built in a contemporary 700sqm building
Cité du Chocolat is not just another
chocolate museum. On the contrary
it wants to demystify chocolate and
chocolate making by making the journey
fun and multi-sensorial.
